Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinical Training
A live, virtual training for therapists working with traumatized youth.
The need for effective therapy for children and teens with histories of trauma and stress has never been so great.
Therapists are inundated with demand, and are in need of training and support to help children, teens and families improve.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents with trauma-related symptoms such as depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress. TF-CBT has over 20 studies showing its effectiveness in decreasing PTSD and depressive symptoms in children and teens and improving the relationship between children and their caregivers.
This intermediate 3-day training for clinicians, led by TF-CBT National Trainer, Dr. Michael Gomez, Ph.D., equips therapists with the skills, knowledge needed to deliver this effective treatment. This will be a live, virtual training with both didactic and experiential content. The training program includes 12 consultation calls (conducted in small groups, twice per month for 1 hour each) and meets standards for National Certification in TF-CBT. More details are below.
