We understand how difficult and confusing it can be to see your child struggle, to wonder if your child is different from other children. A well performed psychological assessment is necessary to help identify if Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) are present when a parent has this worry. Our psychologists use precise diagnostic tools, including the Gold Standard measures for assessing ASD (ADOS-2 and ADI-R) so you can feel confident in the answer to the question 'Does my child have autism?”
Diagnostic Assessment is performed by our Licensed Therapist to identify Trauma/PTSD, OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Behavior Problems, and Mood Disorders. It is not a psychological assessment, but rather an assessment of current functioning and possible diagnosis. This is used to provide treatment recommendations and develop a treatment plan.
Assessment Services
Learning difficulties make school and home life hard. An understanding of the learning differences your child is having in school can help you advocate for, and get the help your child needs to help them be successful in school and in life. Our psychologists use the Gold Standard Assessments (e.g., WISC-V and WIAT-IV) to identify learning disorders such as Reading Disorder and ADHD. Help is not only possible, but also achievable.
Just as you use your GPS when you are lost, when you don’t know where to turn for help for yourself or your child the rule is 'Assessment Guides Treatment.' Here, we offer Psychological Assessments for conditions such as: Traumatic Stress Disorders (e.g., PTSD), Anxiety Disorders (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder), Mood Disorders (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder), Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other behavioral and emotional disorders (e.g., OCD). Such testing will include components like a clinical interview, evidence based behavioral and emotional measures as well as IQ testing. When medication and/or counseling does not seem to help, a well performed psychological assessment can help give direction and guidance to get you back on the right path. Here, we can help give you clarity.
